Gun Owner Defense Stories
While no one ever wants to have to draw their weapon and even more so kill another person average citizens defend themselves, and others, on a daily basis. We do not post these stories to glorify them, far from it. Taking another humans life is a horrible thing that no one wants to experience. But since these type of stories are often overlooked by main stream media and anti-gun groups constantly tell us guns don't save lives we feel the need to keep the public aware that average gun owners are saving lives each and every day.

Great Grandmother Shoots & Kills Armed Intruder - January 6, 2014
Killing anyone, let alone a teenager, was the last thing Elzie Pipkins wanted to do when she bought a handgun at a local pawn shop days after a December burglary. But a few weeks later, on Sunday evening, Pipkins found herself using that weapon to defend herself and her family, ultimately taking the life of a 16-year-old holding her at gunpoint.
"I was defending myself, my grandbaby and my great-grandson. We're innocent people and he came up on us in the house with a loaded shotgun," she said.
The 63-year-old great-grandmother lives alone, but serves as the matriarch of a large family and often cares for the youngest members.
Armed Citizen Saves Mall Cop Held At Gunpoint - January 6, 2014
It all began when the unarmed loss prevention officer tried to detain the thieves. One of the suspects, a woman, drew a handgun from her backpack and pointed it at the officer.
Meanwhile a 61-year-old man was sitting in the parking lot waiting on his wife to finish her shopping in the mall. He saw what was happening and saw his wife exiting the store from the same entrance as the officer.
Fearing for the safety of his wife and the loss prevention officer, the male fired his handgun an unknown number of times toward the armed suspect.
Robber Shot To Death In St. Louis - January 4, 2014
A man slain in the College Hill neighborhood Monday night was apparently shot to death by a man he tried to rob, police say.
A man, 25, told police that he and a friend were walking on Blair Avenue when Davis and another man tried to rob him at gunpoint. They struggled, and the 25-year-old man pulled his own gun and shot Davis, he told police. Davis was shot in the legs, chest, face and arm.
Davie Florida Man Stops Three Home Invaders With AK-47 - January 4, 2014
Two home invasion suspects are on the run and a third was shot and killed by a Davie resident Thursday night, police said.
Three armed men entered the apartment and pistol-whipped the resident inside, police said. He then confronted the suspects.
"The resident of the apartment had possession of an AK-47 and after he received this beating he was able to get possession or control of that, and started shooting at these suspects as they were fleeing," Engle said.
Armed 90 Year Old Business Owner Scares Off Robber - January 2, 2014
When a young man entered a Dayton, Ohio, laundromat Monday evening and demanded money from the 90-year-old owner, he was met with surprise when the old man not only told him no, but shoved a gun in his face.
Hicks wasn't about to hand over his hard-earned cash though. Instead of reaching into the cash drawer, Hicks reached into his pocket and pulled out a pistol, which sent the would-be robber running.
Market Employee Shoots Would Be Robber In Bakersfield California - December 30, 2013
Bakersfield police officers were sent to the Mi Tierra Market located at 300 South Owens St. regarding a robbery.
Officials said the store clerk told them that he had shot one of the suspects.
Officers said they found evidence that was consistent with one of the suspects being shot, but the suspects had since fled from the store.
Officers said the clerk said three men entered the business and at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The clerk said the men ordered the store employees to the ground at which time the victim retrieved a handgun and fired a single round at the suspects, officers said.
Off Duty Trooper Kills Intruder In Oklahoma City Home - December 27, 2013
Police said the trooper was in the garage with the garage door open at his home in the 200 block of NE 2 Street when the man pointed a gun at him and asked for his belongings.
The trooper led the man to the home's second floor where the trooper used his gun to shoot the man, police said.
Woman Shoots Stalker Ex-Boyfriend - December 19, 2013
The victim says she went to her basement to smoke, when she realized that her ex-boyfriend was in the basement. He smashed her phone when she tried to call 911, before chasing her around the basement.
The woman took a gun from her pocket and shot the 34-year-old in the leg. When he fled, he dropped his cell phone, which she used to call 911.
New Hampshire Gun Owner Stops Car Jacking - December 18, 2013
Paul Jensen was sitting in the driver's seat of his Ford Taurus in a hospital parking lot in Nashua when police say James Paul suddenly opened up the passenger door.
"As he started to get in, I didn't have time to think about it, I just reacted, by the time he got in my car, I had my weapon out and pointed at his head," said Jensen from his home in Nashua today.
Man With Permit Pulls Out Gun, Stops Robbery - December 18, 2013
A Minneapolis man helped stop a robbery by pulling a gun on the bad guys.
Matt Dosser saw two men standing outside the University Market in northeast Minneapolis Tuesday night. One had a gun, and they had just attacked the clerk inside.
"I was really scared for his life," Dosser said. "They were trying to kill him, in my opinion."
Cleveland Homeowner Shoots 2 Suspects In Home Invasion - December 17, 2013
A Cleveland homeowner shot two intruders who attempted to rob him during a violent home invasion early Tuesday morning.
Police say the two suspects approached the 24-year-old homeowner in the driveway of his house on Rudyard just before 2:30 a.m. The suspects took the owner into the house where he was beaten and pistol-whipped.
Houston Restaurant Manager Shoots - Kills Robber - December 14, 2013
While trying to protect his restaurant, a manager shot and killed an armed robber, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say around 8:30 Friday night, three masked gunmen entered the Church's Chicken on Veterans Memorial at South Camden Park and held the employees at gunpoint, demanding money.
One of the suspects was behind the counter when that bold manager shot and killed him.
Man Fends Off Robbers After Date 'Set Up' - November 29, 2013
The investigation revealed that Erika Sanez and Travis Weller had met approximately one month ago and Erika Sanez contacted Weller and made arrangements to meet with him for a date. Sanez met with Weller at another location and took him to the Plum Grove Court address (vacant residence) where she had three males waiting to rob Weller. When the males (Walker and unidentified males) attempted to rob Weller, he fired shots striking Walker in the chest. Erika Sanez drove Walker to the hospital. Weller called 911 stating that "individuals had tried to rob him and he shot a suspect". Weller remained at the scene until deputies arrived.

On November 13, an armed customer in a Mobile, AL Family Dollar store foiled a robbery by shooting "the suspect multiple times."
Elderly Man Stops Home Invasion - November 14, 2013
A man is dead in Pine County following a home invasion around three this morning. Pine County Deputies responded to the home of an elderly man on reports of a shooting.
The Sheriff's office reports at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and confronted the homeowner. The homeowner grabbed a handgun of his own and shot the armed suspect killing him.

A Zachary man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly broke into a home in Walker, Police Captain John Sharp said. Sharp says the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Tuesday night on Browden Street.

A suspected burglar is shot and killed by a homeowner when a Dallas County couple walks in on a break-in in progress at their house.
The sheriff says the couple surprised two burglars when they came home and one of the burglars ran but the other was shot and killed.
Wheelchair Bound Store Owner Fends Off Robbery With Gun - October 24, 2013
The Alcoa Police Department says two suspects went inside the the store. While one suspect was asking about merchandise, the other jumped the store's counter and ran to a backroom.
Alcoa PD Detective Kris Sanders said both suspects then tried to leave with some money. The store's owner then shot one of the men in the stomach area with a handgun.

An Indiana pastor turned the table on a suspected robber by pulling out his own gun.
"He was telling me to get on the ground but that's when I pulled my weapon and said no you get on the ground"
Legal Gun Owner Stops What Could have Been A Mass Shooting - October 20, 2013
Investigators determined an argument started between individuals at the party and the 27-year-old, and he was asked to leave, she said. The man left for a short time, then returned with a rifle and began firing off rounds outside the house.
The man pointed the rifle at partygoers and a 39-year-old partygoer pulled out a handgun and shot the 27 year old before police arrived, Breeden said. The shooter did not try to leave and waited for officers to arrive.
