Pretty good Downtown Shop

At least they had some .22LR when I needed it. It was pricy, but that was Ok this time as ,Like I said I needed it! Not a huge selection, but nice people and knowledgeable.

Close to downtown!

My experience

I have been in the Stockton Gun Exchange on 3 or 4 different occasions and have really not been pleased when compared with other stores in the area. The guys behind the gun counter are not very friendly and act like you are bugging them if you ask a question. Their prices are a little high compared to others and I will not be going back.

Much potential, but limited selection

I used to live just a few blocks from Stockton Gun Exchange, so I was in there periodically. They have a good space and knowledgable staff -- who really are nicer when you get to know them. The one thing I really didn't like about them is that they charged through the roof to receive a remote order and they flat out told me to go somewhere else -- they were too busy. Now I understand that attitude if I'm ordering something because I don't want to pay their LGS markup, but I was looking at things that they either did not have suppliers for or their suppliers were out of stock. Their in-stock selection of firearms, ammo, and accessories were all fairly thin, at least the last time I was in there late last year. Now, firearms and ammo I get with the run on that stuff, but I think it's sad I had to go elsewhere to buy a safe, travel case, and range bag because their selection in all three was too thin to have items that suited my needs.
