Legislation Overview

Title: Weapons; prohibition at airports, exception for handguns.

Description: Prohibition on weapons at airport; exception for handguns. Provides that a person may lawfully possess or transport a handgun into any portion of an air carrier airport terminal other than the secured area of the terminal. The bill requires the authority, commission, or other entity that operates an airport terminal containing a secured area to post at least one notice in a conspicuous location at each entrance to a secured area informing the public that they are entering a secured area and listing the items restricted from being possessed or transported in the secured area.
