Title: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 3; Title 4; Title 38 and Title 39, relative to valid enhanced handgun carry permits.

Subject: General Assembly

Description: As introduced, permits sergeants-at-arms to carry a handgun while in the course and scope of their duties within the legislative complex provided that they have a valid handgun carry permit; imposes a duty on the department of safety to implement a training program to train the sergeants-at-arms in all safety procedures for the legislative complex; requires a sergeant-at-arms who carries a firearm while in the course and scope of their duties to attend a firearms training course if hired on or after October 1, 2024. - Amends TCA Title 3; Title 4; Title 38 and Title 39.
