Title: AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, relative to firearms.

Subject: Firearms and Ammunition

Description: As introduced, prohibits the possession of an assault weapon; makes it a Class E felony to illegally possess an assault weapon; directs those in possession of an assault weapon before July 1, 2024, to apply for a certificate of possession; requires the department of safety to create a certificate of possession. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17.
