Title: Enact Child Access Prevention Tax Credit Act

Subject: Crimes, Corrections, and Law Enforcement : Firearms: Taxation

Description: To amend sections 5747.08 and 5747.98 and to enact sections 2923.191 and 5747.72 of the Revised Code to enact the Child Access Prevention Tax Credit Act to prohibit negligent storage of a firearm, to provide criminal penalties if a minor gains access to an improperly stored firearm, and to authorize an income tax credit for the purchase of firearms safety storage units.
