Title: Concealed weapons; authorize license holders to carry on campuses of higher education institutions.

Description: An Act To Create New Section 45-9-102, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The Carrying Of Concealed Weapons By Holders Of A Concealed-carry License On The Campuses Of The State Institutions Of Higher Learning, Community And Junior Colleges, And Private And Independent Institutions Of Higher Education; To Prohibit Those Institutions From Adopting Policies Restricting The Carrying Of Concealed Weapons On Campus; To Require Each State Institution Of Higher Learning To Adopt And Publish Rules And Regulations Regarding The Carrying Of Concealed Weapons On Campus; To Amend Section 45-9-101, 45-9-53 And 97-37-17, Mississippi Code Of 1972, In Conformity To The Preceding Provisions; To Bring Forward Section 97-37-1, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Establishes Criminal Penalties For Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapons, And Section 97-37-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Authorizes Certain Persons To Obtain A Permit For Carrying Deadly Weapons, For Purposes Of Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.
