Title: AN ACT relating to pretrial diversion.

Subject: Crimes and Punishments: Criminal Procedure: Firearms and Weapons

Description: Amend KRS 533.250 to provide that acceptance of an Alford plea or a plea of guilty for pretrial diversion shall be suspended until a condition of pretrial diversion has been violated or the diversion program is completed; create a new section of KRS Chapter 533 to establish that a person who has accepted a pretrial diversion agreement retains his or her right to possess a firearm unless a court finds that the charge involved the use of a firearm and it is in the interest of the defendant and the public to restrict access.
