Legislation Overview

Title: FOID DATABASE AUDIT

Description: Amends the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Directs the Auditor General to conduct a performance audit of the Department of State Police's administration under the Act including, but not limited to, the Department's database. Provides that the audit shall include the average time frame for a protective order or emergency protective order to be uploaded onto the Department's database after an emergency protective order or protective order is entered by the court. Provides that the Auditor General shall, upon its completion, distribute a report required under the Illinois State Auditing Act.
