Legislation Overview

Title: GUNS-MENTAL HEALTH-REPORTING

Description: Amends the Department of Public Health Act and the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act. Provides that the Department of Public Health may impose fines or sanctions upon a facility that fails to comply with reporting requirements related to determining whether a person is disqualified from gun ownership under specified statutes. Provides that the Department shall adopt rules to implement the provisions.
