Legislation Overview
Title: CONCEALED CARRY-SIGNS
Description: Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act. Provides that the signs stating that the carrying of firearms is prohibited shall be posted at least 36 inches from the ground and not more than 48 inches from the ground, unobstructed from view. Provides that if a sign is posted that does not meet the statutory requirements and the Department of State Police's rules, the prohibition on the carrying of firearms in the building or premises, or on the real property specified on the sign does not apply. Provides that a licensee who carries a firearm in the building or premises, or on the real property specified on the sign is not subject to the license suspension or revocation or criminal penalty provisions in the Act for his or her conduct of carrying the firearm in that building or premises or on that real property. Effective immediately.
