Title: Carrying and Possession of Firearms; reporting of weapons carry license and renewal license information to the Georgia Crime Information Center; require

Description: A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Part 3 of Article 4 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the O.C.G.A., relating to carrying and possession of firearms, so as to require the reporting of weapons carry license and renewal license information to the Georgia Crime Information Center for affiliation with certain records such that, for the safety of officers and citizens, law enforcement officers may have foreknowledge of the possible presence of a firearm when effecting a traffic stop or other investigative encounter; to provide for an exception; to amend Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to Georgia Crime Information Center, to provide for restricted access to information; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
