Title: TASER Access, Safety, and Effectiveness Review and Study Act TASERS Act

Subject: Commerce: Congressional oversight: Consumer affairs: Firearms and explosives: Government studies and investigations: Product safety and quality: Accidents: Medical research

Description: Requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in consultation with various federal agencies, to study the use of firearms and Tasers. Specifically, with respect to both types of weapon, the CPSC must determine (1) the number of successful self-defense attempts, (2) the number of accidental discharges or misfires, (3) the types of injuries sustained, and (4) the long-term health implications for individuals who are shot or tased.
