J C BLAUVELT- has moved to PA
John Blauvelt is an excellent and highly knowledgeable gunsmith. I, and many others that I have known, have used his services almost exclusively when possible. However, in the wake of the NY SAFE act, he has moved shop to northern Pennsylvania. He will still accept NY clients for whatever work he can do for them legally. I don't honestly know if he does transfers or keps any stock because his FFL is used (t least to my knowledge) specifically in his capacity as a gunsmith. In his role as a gunsmith, he is very easy to to business with and his prices are almost ridiculously low among common market pricing; especially considering the very high quality of his work.
