HB2599 would require all gun owners to report any stolen firearm within 24 hours of discovering the loss but it goes further by making the person civilly liable for damages if the stolen firearm is used in a crimeHB2597 is another 'feel good' bill requiring anyone that has firearms and lives with someone that is prohibited to keep them locked up.
