This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Oklahoma.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

One note on these, most of these are 'roll overs' from 2019

HB1001 would remove the restriction for felons riding as passengers in vehicles where a firearm is present

HB1142 clarifies how firearms may be carried now that constitutional carry is law

HB1197 would add a huge list pf places that government could deem gun free zones

HB1214 would make it so only residents and 'lawful permanent resident' of the state could apply for handgun permits

HB2072 would prohibit employers from storing their firearm in their vehicle on company property

HB2092 would allow municipal employees that have a valid handgun license and permission from the municipality to carry at work and in municipal buildings

HB2335 would prohibit any money from any government, state or local, to be used for any anti second amendment use

HB2336 would allow school boards to adopt policies allowing carrying of firearms by those who have a valid handgun permit

HB2457 would create extreme risk protection orders

SB34 would make minor changes to concealed carry law but would also recognize any valid concealed concealed carry license from any state

SB345 would modify laws regarding where a firearm can be carry to accommodate constitutional carry

SB38 would allow people with a concealed carry license to carry in the state capitol

SB431 would require anyone that comes in contact with law enforcement to notify them they are carrying a firearm

SB669 would waive the fees for a firearm license for military personnel

SB671 would allow for the carrying of firearms on school property as long as the person has a carry license and meets the requirements of the school board

SB775 would strengthen preemption of local firearm and ammunition laws

SB781 would prohibit employers from prohibiting employees from storing firearms in their vehicles

SB796 would make sales of firearms tax free after 2019

SB87 would take away the right of active duty military and national guard soldiers to carry without a license

SB894 would strengthen preemption of local firearm and ammunition laws

SB897 would place the burden of proof in self defense cases on the state and if it was justified would give civil immunity to the person

SB959 would grant an exemption for purchasing firearms to anyone who has a medical marijuana card (but the federal government still prohibits it)

SB991 would place the burden of proof in self defense cases on the state and if it was justified would give civil immunity to the person

SJR16 is a joint resolution to place a question on the ballot to strengthen the wording of article II of the state constitution (right to bear arms)

SB1081 would preempt local governments, or the federal government from implementing 'red flag' laws

HB2011 would place the burden of proof when someone claims immunity for use of force on the state

HB2781 affirms the state's commitment to protect the 2nd amendment and would make it illegal for the state or local governments to help enforce anti 2A federal laws

SB783 would further limit places local government can declare as gun free zones

SB12 would make various changes to laws to bring them in line with constitutional carry

SB364 would prohibit business owners from stopping employees from storing firearms in their vehicles on company property

HB3015 would clarify that pointing a firearm during an act of self-defense is not a crime

HB2940 would outlaw magazines that hold more than 10 rounds

HB2945 would prohibit carrying an 'assault firearm' in cities with populations of more than 100,000

SB1490 would clarify preemption laws and explicitly state a person's right to sue a local government that violates the state preemption laws

SB1401 would expand preemption of local firearm ordinances

SB1398 would allow carrying handgun in the state capitol with a carry permit

SB1400 would expand constitutional carry to include open and concealed carry of a rifle or shotgun

HB3010 would expand constitutional carry to include open and concealed carry of a rifle or shotgun

SB1673 would change law regarding carrying in vehicles to fall into line with constitutional carry law

SB1570 would allow for the carrying of firearms on college campuses without permission of the school

HB3357 would restrict where firearms can be carried

SB1605 would expand preemption of local law to include ammunition

HB3167 would prohibit discrimination in business against any company or association that deals with firearms

HB3897 would exclude rifles from weapons that can be carried in certain places

HB3071 would add rifles into constitutional carry law

HB3036 would strengthen preemption of local firearm restrictions and would provide 'reasonable expenses' for someone that sues a local government and wins
