This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Oklahoma.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

Starting off (prefiled):

SB5 would drop all fess for carry licenses

SB6 would allow certain government officials to carry firearms anywhere in the state, without a permit, if they take a safety course

SB11 would make changes to carry licenses including dropping the price to $25

New today:

SB158 would prohibit doctors from refusing treatment to a patient because they own firearms (very odd bill)

SB35 would allow active duty, honorably discharged and retired military and national guard to carry a firearm without a license provided they have their military id

SB43 would remove language about colleges contacting the state in reference to an incident with a licensed concealed carry holder that would require a state hearing

SB63 would eliminate the 10 year carry license option and would require a NICS check when getting a license or renewing one

SB66 would allow anyone with a valid concealed carry license to enter the capitol building after showing their license

SB67 would make any firearm or accessory made and kept within the state exempt from federal law

New this week:

SB176 would allow retired law enforcement and many other court employees to carry firearms anywhere in the state

SB178 would prevent law enforcement from detaining and disarming anyone carrying a firearm on their property without reasonable articulable suspicion or other criminal activity. It would also allow anyone not prohibited to carry a loaded firearm concealed or not within their vehicle

SB274 would strengthen preemption law and make it easier to sue and collect from any government agency found to be in violation of preemption

SB275 would prohibit any government agency to use public funds to promote gun control. It would also strengthen preemption law and make it easier to sue and collect from any government agency found to be in violation of preemption

SB276 would exempt courthouse employees from the ban on carrying in courthouses

SB288 would grant immunity to any business that allows employees to carry including drivers that carry while working. It would revoke immunity from business that do prohibit carrying and would allow for civil damages.

HB1428 would allow 18 year olds that are active military, national guard members or honorably discharged to get a concealed carry permit

HB1450 would waive the fees for a handgun license or renewal for active duty military

HB1556 would make colleges liable if they don't permit firearms and someone is injured in a situation where carry a firearm might have helped them prevent the injury

HB1600 is a campus carry bill with a few limited exceptions

HB1721 would remove the ban on carrying a firearm on a public bus

HB1935 would allow anyone with a concealed carry license to carry into the secure areas of a court

HB2321 would remove the requirement for a license to open carry

HB2322 would strengthen preemption laws by adding 'firearm and ammunition components' and allow persons 'adversely affected' by any local law to sue and be awarded reasonable expenses

HB2323 would allow anyone 21 or older to carry a loaded handgun concealed or openly in a vehicle as long as they aren't prohibited

SB378 would allow anyone 21 or older to carry a loaded handgun concealed or openly in a vehicle as long as they aren't prohibited

SB379 would prohibit public funds from being used to promote gun control
