This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for North Dakota.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

1042 would allow permitted persons to carry in churches

1160 would make it a misdemeanor to refuse to sell a firearm to an authorized person

1163 would make the penalty for carrying in a bar, at a public gathering or in a motor vehicle 'an infraction'

1308 would amen law regarding the definition of a machine to clarify that a binary trigger is not a machine gun

1309 would bar state government agencies and law enforcement from assisting the federal government in enforcing firearm laws unless the government appeals to the courts and the court finds the complaint constitutes a national emergency

1310 would create an exemption for carrying at a public gathering if the person has a class 1 license

1317 would make property owners liable if they prohibit carrying firearms and an incident occurs

1322 would require the state to destroy records of anyone that doesn't renew their class 1 or 2 firearm license

1323 would remove bb guns and spring loaded guns from the definition of dangerous weapons

1325 would allow anyone not prohibited to carry firearms at public gatherings

1326 would amend the definition of a machine gun to clarify that a device that uses recoil to fire the trigger is not a machine gun

1332 would allow school boards to hire armed resource officers that meet certain criteria

1341 would allow carrying in churches provided they have the churches permission

1381 would prohibit gun buy back programs

1451 would impose a three day waiting period to buy a firearm if the person does not have a license to carry and would ban bump stocks

1497 would repeal the duty to retreat section in the use of deadly force law

1537 would create extreme risk protection orders

2131 would make all firearms and accessories manufactured and kept in the state exempt from federal law
