To view proposed New Jersey legislation click here A1016 sets up a personalized handgun commission to approve which ones can be sold in the state and would require every gun dealer to stock at least one A1073 would put the burden of proof on the chief of police or state police when they deny a handgun purchase or a purchasing id card A1080 would clarify and expand the definition of 'reasonable deviations' when transporting a firearm A1098 would require all newly manufactured firearms shipped into the state to be micro-stamped A1160 would grant police status to agents of the treasury department and allow them to carry firearms A1167 would require schools to offer the Eddie Eagle program for kindergarten through 6th graders A1216 would create a statewide gun buyback program A1217 would create gun violence restraining orders very similar to California law A1225 is a 'ghost gun' bill outlawing undetectable firearms that are made using printing technology A1272 would create self defense justification for victims of domestic violence A1286 on the surface looks like a pro-gun bill by allowing people to use their drivers license or state issued id to purchase firearms but it goes on to require an electronic database for all online or internet sales and would also implement universal background checks for all firearm and ammunition sales A1386 is an attempt to rewrite the license to carry handgun permit laws by several Republicans A1394 would permit county sheriffs to issue firearm identification cards and carry permits |
