This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Montana.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

Starting off:

HB246 would make it legal to carry a firearm on and in postal service property and would make federal laws banning it unenforceable

HB251 would change the definition of a concealed weapon to mean 'handgun'

SB99 would prohibit any public employee to assist the federal government in enforcing a firearm or magazine ban

HB262 is a constitutional carry bill

HB273 would allow permanent lawful residents of the US to apply for a carry license

HB385 would allow school employees that have a carry permit to carry on school property

HB461 would provide a tax credit, up to $500 per year, for the purchase of a gun safe or trigger lock

HB480 would set up a means for those who have lost their firearm rights due to mental issues to petition the court to have those rights restored
