This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Mississippi.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

SB2018 would prohibit realistic looking toy guns

HB312 would authorize hunter safety as part of public school courses

SB2131 would give pistol licenses to retired judges for free

SB2152 would require all ammunition sold in the state to have serial numbers on the casings and would require sellers to keep records and maintain them for 5 years

New today:

HB614 would prevent any public funds from being used to enforce any federal law or executive order that is in violation of MS state law or its constitution

HB620 would prohibit employers from stopping employees from carrying on company property if they have a carry permit

HB621 would require chief law enforcement officers to process NFA applications in 15 days or less

HB626 would set up fines for state employees that help federal officials to enforce a federal law deemed unconstitutional

HB633 would allow anyone that is not prohibited from carrying a firearm that is harmed due to a business prohibiting the carrying of firearms to sue

HB731 would allow municipalities to hold gun buyback programs and to destroy any guns bought. It would also re-enact carry licenses being required to carry concealed

HB732 would require firearm dealers to secure air rifles and bb guns the same way they secure real firearms

HB739 would require all dealers that sell ammunition to keep records of all sales and whom the ammo was sold to

HB856 would allow anyone that is not prohibited from carrying a firearm that is harmed due to a business prohibiting the carrying of firearms to sue

SB2172 would make it illegal for any state employee to assist the federal government in enforcing any firearm law or executive order deemed unconstitutional

SB2204 would prohibit any state or local government from assisting in enforcing any federal law that attempt to ban or restrict any semi-auto firearm or register any firearm, magazine of firearm accessory

SB2576 would allow persons 18 years or older to carry on colleges if they posses an instructor-certified concealed-carry license, it would also apply to non-residents

New last week HB1360 would reduce the fees for a carry license for anyone 65 years old or older
