This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Indiana.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

Starting off (prefiled):

SB0013 would allow firearms to be used as security (eg pawn)

SB0043 would remove penal facilities from the list of places where employers can prohibit firearms

SB0050 would require retailers to store tannerite behind a counter and would require them to check the id of anyone buying it to make sure they are at least 18.

SB0078 would allow those that may legally carry a firearm to carry it on school property or churches when attending 'a worship service or religious ceremony'

New today:

HB1051 would make it illegal to use state employees or funds in the enforcement of a federal firearms law enacted after January 1, 2017

HB1071 would authorize anyone protected by a civil protection order to carry a firearm without a license for 60 days and would expedite the carry license process for them

HB1095 would outlaw so-called armor piercing ammunition

SB0123 would require anyone applying for  license to carry after Dec. 31, 2017 to take an eight hour handgun safety and training program

New today SB0344 would make possession of a concealed firearm by an illegal alien a class D felony

New Today:

HB1326 would provide tax credits for firearm training up to $100 for individuals and $200 for couples

SB0426 would outlaw open carrying rifles with certain features (assault rifles)

SB0191 would require law enforcement to attempt to find the rightful owner of seized firearms

new this week HB1446 would prohibit any doctor from storing or releasing any information, except to a court, about firearm ownership

HB1445 would remove the option of destroying seized firearms by law enforcement

HB1460 would make firearms and ammunition exempt from sales tax

HB1646 would require the legislative council to study firearm microstampting
