Every time you click a thread, the count goes up, even if you have viewed it already. Can it be set to count only the first view by an individual user?

Nope, well at least not without a stupid amount of work. Besides that a view is a view, that's how all forum software works. What you are suggesting is a 'unique'

Unique is the word I should have used. Every other forum I'm in only shows unique views. It would be helpful to have, especially if you are posting announcements, so you can see the reach.

The state activism section has ALL states listed I notice only a couple of states have threads. I was going to start a thread " how did this election affect YOU and your feel ing in control of your guns?

As we have a large number of folksthat ran and so far all my sources are national not local I'm checking on our state legislatures ad their stand. We have been getting "progressively" pinker and less red, as population from the lower 48 has moved in and brought their "Blue politics" with them.

I cant find the "Start a thread" button.

I did go to the State activism, to the state of Alaska, entered the Alaska section and got this message.

There are no threads in this subtopic at this time

There appears to lack a thread starter button in the subtopic.

I looked at the states on either side of Alaska and view the exact same, Pennsylvania appears to be the ONLY state with a thread, and only ONE thread.

Does that seem strange? Thanks.

It appears "State Politics is in the same condition except a few more states HAVE THREADS.

On further check, EVERY topic that has a "State" subtopic choice, have the same view on states.

If you go into that topic again and see the "Threads In: Alaska" across the top. Look directly at the right side of the page, there is a "new thread" button. Click on that and you can start a new conversation.
