I just picked up my first shotgun last weekend - Benelli Supernova Tactical. can't wait to get out and put some rounds through it!

Any tips/advice on owners of this particualy model or shotguns in general?

Get the magazine extension for it, here's one at Midway

I made sure to get one that came with the extension! 7 + 1.

More ammunition is never a bad thing!

What is your desired use? Home defense, truck gun, what do you see as your primary target if for defense?

 Here in Alaska I have a shotgun beside me for home defense. Tomorrow I'm going small game hunting with my buddy for the weekend and I'm allso carrying Brenneke Black Magic ( a very heavy hard hitting slug) for any bear that may not be in their den yet and endangering our party of hunters (3).

My daughter in VA said that they still have some wondering around them.

The relm of shotgun for home defense opens a very big can of worms regarding tactics, ammo and style of stock etc.

He's probably jst going to use it for target and home defense. Not really an easy firearm to carry around, lol.
