Title: Regards firearms for fire investigators

Subject: Crimes, Corrections, and Law Enforcement : Firearms: Crimes, Corrections, and Law Enforcement : Law Enforcement: Public Safety: State and Local Government: House Government Oversight Committee

Description: To amend sections 109.71, 109.73, 109.75, 109.79, 109.801, and 2923.126 and to enact sections 109.7481 and 109.774 of the Revised Code to provide firearms training for fire investigators; to permit such an investigator who has received that training and has been specifically authorized to carry firearms while on duty; to grant such an investigator the same right to carry a concealed handgun in this state as a concealed handgun licensee; and to amend the version of section 109.73 of the Revised Code that is scheduled to take effect on December 29, 2023, to continue the change on and after that date.
