This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Oklahoma. Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page. HB2632 would add 'places of worship' to the list of places specified in law related to the right to use deadly force HB2918 would remove 'open and not concealed' from current law regarding transporting firearms HB2943 would require a person to be a resident of the state for at least 5 years before they could apply for a carry permit SB1158 would strike language from current law that makes it illegal for anyone driving a car to carry a firearm if their passenger is a convicted felon SB1159 would allow those with carry licenses to carry concealed at colleges HB3656 is a constitutional carry bill SB1212 would lift the restriction for concealed carry in wildlife refuges and wildlife management areas SB1213 is a constitutional carry bill SB1214 would make all firearms, ammunition and accessories made and kept within the state exempt from federal law SB1215 would prohibit any local or state official from helping the federal government enforcing any new firearm law SB1216 is a constitutional carry bill but it has a huge list of those prohibited SB1224 is a constitutional carry bill but it has a huge list of those prohibited SB1227 would drop the cost of a concealed carry license to $25 SB1235 would legalize NFA firearms provided they are registered (currently it is a defense to have them registered) SB1265 is a constitutional carry bill but it has a huge list of those prohibited SB1306 is a constitutional carry bill SB1308 would add ammunition to preemption laws SB1562 would put the burden of proof on the state in regards to claims of self-defense HB4187 would allow businesses to prohibit carrying in their business place |
