Pennsylvania State Bill HB2011

Pennsylvania members, your help is needed!

Kim Stolfer (FOAC) had a call with legislators last week. Rep Mike Turzai has committed to move HB 2011. This bill strengthens preemption by providing for standing and compensation of expenses in the event a local law needs to be challenged that conflicts with State gun laws. Corbett said he will sign if it is put on his desk in the remaining 11 days left to the legislative session.

PLEASE do the following 3 simple things today.

1) call your State Rep and ask him/her to support HB2011 for a vote without amendments.

2) Call your State Senator and ask him/her to support the Senate equivalent of HB2011 without amendment when it comes to the senate for a vote

3) Call Senator Stewart Greenleaf who chairs judiciary and ask him to allow the senate version of HB2011 to be put up for a vote without amendments.

You can get contact information for your rep and senator at FOAC's upgraded website. https://foac-pac.org/

PA Attorney General Illegally Declares Utah Permits Are No Longer Valid - May 12, 2014

State:

Pennsylvania Attorney General Kane has released a letter her office sent to Utah declaring that since Utah does not require Pennsylvania residents to prove they have a valid PA license to carry the state will no longer recognize Utah permits.

What makes it even sneakier is the fact they released, and updated the PA website, on Mother's day.

Her claim is nothing more than a lie as Utah has required a resident license from PA residents for many many years.

Please contact your legislators, as well as the governor's office, and tell this this type of underhanded manipulation of the law will not be tolerated!

PA HB2011 Stalled In House, Please Contact Your Reps - April 16, 2014

Pennsylvania State Bill HB2011

TAKE 3 MINUTES AND CALL TODAY

Pennsylvania: Firearms Preemption Bill Still Stalled in House, Your Immediate Help Needed

Another week has gone by and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives has still not acted on House Bill 2011, critical firearms preemption legislation needed to provide consistency of Pennsylvania's firearm and ammunition laws throughout the state. Your immediate help is needed to ensure this bill gets a vote on the House floor.

Sponsored by state Representative Mark Keller (R-86), HB 2011 would strengthen the state firearms preemption statute to further ensure that firearm and ammunition laws are consistent throughout Pennsylvania. To date, nearly fifty municipalities have enacted and enforce illegal local gun control ordinances including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Lancaster, Reading and the state capital of Harrisburg. Enough is enough.

Anti-gun state lawmakers in Harrisburg are still attempting to kill or stall this crucial legislation, and have filed 124 amendments in an attempt to derail HB 2011, which passed in the House Judiciary Committee by a 20 to 5 vote on March 18. HB 2011, without any anti-gun amendments, is critical to law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen in Pennsylvania and your voice will make the difference!

Over the past four years, the Pennsylvania Legislature has failed to act on this important pro-gun reform. Please help prevent this from happening again this year. Contact your state Representative TODAY and urge him or her to support HB 2011 without ANY anti-gun amendments. For contact information or help identifying your state lawmakers use the link below.
