SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 148
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize David Earl Rock Sr., who is retiring February 28, 2015,
  from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after 30
  years of outstanding service; and
 
         WHEREAS, David Rock joined the comptroller's office in 1984
  as an enforcement officer; he soon moved to the Waco Audit
  Office, and due to his exceptional auditing skills, he was
  promoted to the position of division training coordinator; and
 
         WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his
  superior management skills and organizational abilities; in
  2000, he became area manager of Audit Headquarters, and he has
  served in that capacity for 15 years; and
 
         WHEREAS, David Rock's willingness to mentor others, his
  expertise in a wide range of technical fields, and his talent for
  sharing information have made him an invaluable resource to the
  Audit Division; and
 
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and
  admired by his colleagues, and his presence with the Office of
  the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
  Legislature, hereby commend David Earl Rock Sr. on his
  exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the
  Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to him
  best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be
  it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
