SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1013
	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
	recognize Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Houston on
	the occasion of its 65th anniversary, which is being celebrated
	June 26, 2015; and
	WHEREAS, Through the years, Saint Francis of Assisi
	Catholic Church has ministered faithfully to the temporal and
	spiritual needs of countless people; under the guidance and wise
	stewardship of its pastors, it has continued to grow and to play a
	vital role in the Houston community; and
	WHEREAS, The church's school is celebrating its 60th
	anniversary this year; this respected institution has educated
	thousands of young men and women who are now productive citizens
	in their communities; and
	WHEREAS, Saint Francis of Assisi Church has become an
	invaluable source of strength and inspiration for its
	parishioners, who work in many capacities to contribute to
	society and to benefit their fellow man; and
	WHEREAS, Parishioners and community members are observing
	the 65th anniversary of the church with an anniversary mass and
	banquet on June 26, 2015; the celebration of this milestone is a
	testament to the church's enduring commitment to providing
	enlightenment and hope to its congregation; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 84th
	Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to the clergy and members
	of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on the joyous occasion
	of its 65th anniversary; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
	the church as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
