R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Abigail Cain graduated magna cum laude with a
  bachelor's degree in political science and history of art and
  architecture from Brown University on May 24, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, During her time at Brown, Ms. Cain developed her
  leadership skills with a variety of notable organizations, serving
  as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, as a tutor with Algebra in Motion, as
  supervisor of Brown University Dining Services, as program director
  of the student-run radio station, WBRU, and as an editorial intern
  for Brown Alumni Magazine; she also worked as a social media
  consultant for Blue Whale Moving Company; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Cain attended Liberal Arts and Science Academy
  High School in Austin, where she was a National Merit Finalist and a
  National Advanced Placement Scholar; she has previously been
  recognized as the 2011 State of Texas Newspaper Editor of the Year
  and as the recipient of the 2010 National Achievement Award in
  Writing and the Girl Scout Gold Award; moreover, she earned
  All-District honors as a member of the LBJ soccer team; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Randy Cain and Kathy
  Cox, Abigail Cain has garnered the respect and admiration of her
  professors and classmates throughout her academic career, and she
  may indeed look forward to a future that is bright with promise;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Abigail Cain on graduating magna
  cum laude in the Class of 2015 at Brown University and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Cain as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
