R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 90th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |
|
|
cause for celebration, and Ester W. Quan of Bellaire is marking this |
|
|
memorable milestone on May 24, 2015, in the company of a host of |
|
|
well-wishers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A source of wisdom and joy, Mrs. Quan has brightened |
|
|
many lives through the years, and she is deeply cherished by her |
|
|
friends and relatives; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She is the devoted matriarch of a large and |
|
|
close-knit family, which includes her children and their spouses, |
|
|
Gordon and Sylvia Quan, Wanda and Gene Choi, Jeanie and Edmond Gor, |
|
|
Rick Quan, and David and Rachel Quan; she has further been blessed |
|
|
with eight grandchildren and their spouses, Caroline and Patrick |
|
|
Long, Jonathan Choi and Elaine Olivares, Kristen and Hunter |
|
|
Hammill, Katherine Quan, Mathew and Justine Choi, Rachel and Ben |
|
|
Pun, Mark and Christy Choi, and Nathaniel Quan, and seven |
|
|
great-grandchildren, Victoria and Katia Long, Dashiell and Harper |
|
|
Hammill, Haley and Austin Pun, and Gwyneth Choi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ester Quan is an inspiration to all who have the good |
|
|
fortune to know her, and her birthday offers a welcome opportunity |
|
|
to remind her of the special place she holds in the hearts of her |
|
|
loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ester W. Quan on the occasion of |
|
|
her 90th birthday and extend to her warmest best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Quan as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
