R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Eduardo Blanc of El Paso is an outstanding Texan who
  is respected and admired by all who know him; and
         WHEREAS, Born to Manuel and Ernestina Blanc on March 31,
  1945, in El Palmito, Durango, Mexico, Eduardo Blanc grew up in a
  large family with his six siblings; he graduated from El Paso
  Technical High School and subsequently answered his nation's call
  to duty as a member of the U.S. Army; he served admirably during the
  Vietnam War, rising to the rank of sergeant and earning the Combat
  Infantry Badge before completing his military service; he went on
  to enjoy a respected career as a machinist for the Southern Pacific
  Railroad until his retirement; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Blanc and his wife, Maria Blanc, have shared a
  rewarding marriage that has spanned more than four decades; they
  are the proud parents of three children, Mayela, Victor, and Heidi,
  and they take much delight in their six grandchildren, Christopher,
  Melissa, Sergio, Destiny, Alexandra, and Adrian; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family and a wide circle of
  friends, Eduardo Blanc has long been a source of joy and inspiration
  to all those fortunate enough to share in the richness of his life;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize Eduardo Blanc and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Blanc as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
