R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Matt Hilton of McKinney has rendered exceptional
  service as chief leadership officer of Step Up Realty; and
         WHEREAS, A native of Garland, Mr. Hilton graduated with a
  bachelor's degree in economics from Baylor University in 1995 and
  went on to establish Paper Chase Legal Services, a Dallas-based
  private investigation and process serving company; he subsequently
  embarked on a career in the real estate industry, becoming a Realtor
  at Keller Williams Realty in 2006; and
         WHEREAS, In April 2013, Mr. Hilton drew upon his keen
  business acumen to found the real estate brokerage firm Step Up
  Realty, and his adept management of the company has garnered him the
  respect of colleagues and clients alike; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hilton has further distinguished himself by
  contributing his expertise to a host of professional organizations,
  serving in such roles as president and treasurer of the Collin
  County Association of Realtors and as a director of the Texas
  Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors;
  in recognition for his outstanding work, he was presented with Five
  Star Awards in both 2013 and 2014 by Five Star Professional and a
  2013 Distinguished Service Award by CCAR, and he was voted as the
  2012 Best Real Estate Agent in the city by the readership of
  McKinney Magazine; and
         WHEREAS, This notable Texan has also given generously of his
  time and talents in behalf of the greater community, serving as vice
  president of North Collin County Habitat for Humanity, as
  commissioner of the McKinney Planning and Zoning Commission, as
  treasurer of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, and as chair of the
  Collin County Planning Board; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hilton's dedication to his profession,
  community, and state continues to enhance the lives of his fellow
  Texans, and it is indeed a privilege to honor him for his many
  outstanding accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Matt Hilton for his service as chief
  leadership officer of Step Up Realty and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Hilton as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
