R E S O L U T I O N
 
         BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of
  Texas, 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, That House Rule 13,
  Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13,
  Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to
  resolve the differences on Senate Bill 11 (the carrying of handguns
  on the campuses of and certain other locations associated with
  institutions of higher education; providing a criminal penalty) to
  consider and take action on the following matters:
         (1)  House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(2), is suspended to permit
  the committee to omit text not in disagreement in SECTION 1 of the
  bill, by omitting added Sections 411.2031(f) and (g), Government
  Code. The omitted text prohibits carrying a concealed handgun on
  the premises of a hospital maintained or operated by an institution
  of higher education or private or independent institution of higher
  education or the premises of certain schools located on the campus
  of such an institution, if certain signs are posted.
         Explanation: The omission of the text is necessary to remove
  a requirement that certain signs be posted to prohibit the carrying
  of concealed handguns on the premises of a hospital maintained or
  operated by an institution of higher education or private or
  independent institution of higher education or the premises of
  certain schools located on the campus of such an institution.
         (2)  House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(2), is suspended to permit
  the committee to omit text not in disagreement in SECTION 3 of the
  bill, in amended Section 46.03, Penal Code, by omitting added
  Subsections (j) and (k). The omitted text prohibits carrying a
  concealed handgun on the premises of a hospital maintained or
  operated by an institution of higher education or private or
  independent institution of higher education or the premises of
  certain schools located on the campus of such an institution, if
  certain signs are posted.
         Explanation: The omission of the text is necessary to remove
  a requirement that certain signs be posted to prohibit the carrying
  of concealed handguns on the premises of a hospital maintained or
  operated by an institution of higher education or private or
  independent institution of higher education or the premises of
  certain schools located on the campus of such an institution.
