       AN  ACT  to  amend  the  environmental  conservation law, in relation to
         authorizing the hunting of big game  in  the  county  of  Albany  with
         rifles; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon the expi-
         ration thereof
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Item (d) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    2  of the environmental conservation law, as separately amended by  chapter
    3  108  of the laws of 1995 and chapter 600 of the laws of 2005, is amended
    4  to read as follows:
    5    (d) Eastern region,     Deer, first Monday      Pistol, shotgun,
    6    except ALBANY,          after November 15       muzzle loading
    7    Columbia, Fulton,       through first Tuesday   firearm or
    8    Orange, Rensselaer,     after December 7        long bow only
    9    Saratoga, Washington
   10    Counties
   11    and those counties
   12    or portions thereof
   13    listed in item (i)
   14    of this paragraph
        EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                             [ ] is old law to be omitted.

    1    S 2. Item (d) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of  section  11-0907  of
    2  the  environmental  conservation  law,  as amended by chapter 600 of the
    3  laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
    4  (d) Eastern region,       Deer and bear,          Pistol, shotgun,
    5    except ALBANY,          first Monday after      muzzle loading firearm
    6    Columbia, Fulton,       November 15 through     or long bow only
    7    Orange, Rensselaer,     first Tuesday after

   13    of this paragraph
   14    S  3.  Paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environ-
   15  mental conservation law is amended by adding a new item (k) to  read  as
   16  follows:
   17  (K) THE COUNTY OF        DEER, THE FIRST          PISTOL, SHOTGUN,
   18  ALBANY                   SATURDAY AFTER NOVEMBER  MUZZLE LOADING
   19                           15 THROUGH FIRST SUNDAY  FIREARM, RIFLE
   20                           AFTER DECEMBER 7         OR LONG BOW ONLY
   21    S 4.  This act shall take effect immediately, provided that:
   22    (a)  the  amendments  to  item  (d) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of
   23  section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law  made  by  section
   24  one of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such
   25  paragraph, when upon such date the provisions of section two of this act
   26  shall take effect;
   27    (b)  the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
   28  of the environmental conservation law made by section three of this  act
   29  shall  be  subject  to  the  expiration  and reversion of such paragraph
   30  pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993,  as  amended;
   31  and
   32    (c)  nothing  contained in this act shall be construed so as to extend
   33  the provisions of this act beyond October 1, 2015, when upon  such  date
   34  this  act  shall  expire  and  the  provisions contained herein shall be
   35  deemed repealed.
