STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT relative to the penalty for possession of multiple firearms.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Pistols and Revolvers; Armed Career Criminals.  Amend RSA 159:3-a, I to read as follows:

I.  No person who has been convicted of any combination of 3 or more felonies in this state or any other state under homicide, assault, sexual assault, arson, burglary, robbery, extortion, child pornography, or controlled drug laws, shall own or have in his or her possession or under his or her control, [a pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun, or any other firearm] one or more firearms.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.

AN ACT relative to the penalty for possession of multiple firearms.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The Legislative Budget Assistant has determined that this legislation, as amended by the Senate (Amendment #2016-0588s), has a total fiscal impact of less than $10,000 in each of the fiscal years 2016 through 2020.
