STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Sixteen

 

AN ACT requiring the collection of data relative to firearm related deaths and injuries.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Paragraph; Annual Reports Regarding Incidents with Firearms.  Amend RSA 21-P:4 by inserting after paragraph XVI the following new paragraph:

XVII.  Prepare and file a report on the number of firearm related deaths and injuries in New Hampshire and the number and type of convictions for firearms related crimes committed in New Hampshire to the senate president, the speaker of the house, the chair of the house committee hearing issues related to criminal justice, and the chair of the senate committee hearing issues related to criminal justice, no later than December 31 of each year.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
