AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2335 




2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2335 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


4 "Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by changing 
5Section 19-130 as follows:




6 (220 ILCS 5/19-130)



7 Sec. 19-130. Commission study and report. The
The 
8Commission's Office of Retail Market Development shall prepare 
9an annual
report regarding the
development of competitive 
10retail natural gas markets in Illinois. The report shall be 
11approved by the Commission and be filed by
July 1
of each odd 
12year with the Joint
Committee on Legislative Support Services 
13of the General Assembly and the
Governor and shall be
publicly 
14available. The report shall include, at a minimum, the 
15following
information:

16  (1) an analysis of the status and development of the

1 retail natural gas
market in the State of Illinois; and
2  (2) a discussion of any identified barriers to the 
3 development of competitive retail natural gas markets in 
4 Illinois and proposed solutions to overcome identified 
5 barriers; and 


6  (3) any other information the Commission considers 
7 significant in
assessing
the development of gas
markets in 
8 the State of Illinois.

9 To aid in preparation of its annual report, as well in its 
10assessment of barriers to the development of competitive retail 
11natural gas markets and proposed solutions to overcome those 
12barriers, the Commission's Office of Retail Market Development 
13shall gather input from all interested parties as well as from 
14other bureaus within the Commission.
