| 1 | | (8) Coroner or forensic pathologist. |
| 2 | | (9) Representative of a juvenile justice advocacy |
| 3 | | organization. |
| 4 | | (10) Representative of a local hospital, trauma |
| 5 | | center, or provider of emergency medical services. |
| 6 | | (11) Representative of the Department of State Police. |
| 7 | | (12) Representative of the Office of the Governor's |
| 8 | | Executive Inspector General. |
| 9 | | (13) Representative of a bar association, law school, |
| 10 | | legal academic organization, legal society, or not for |
| 11 | | profit legal organization. |
| 12 | | A mortality review team may make recommendations to the |
| 13 | | Director concerning additional appointments.

| 14 | | (c) Each mortality review team member must have |
| 15 | | demonstrated experience or an interest in welfare of youth in |
| 16 | | State custody.
|
| 17 | | (d) The mortality review teams shall be funded in the |
| 18 | | Department's annual budget to provide for the travel expenses |
| 19 | | of team members and professional services engaged by the team.
|
| 20 | | (e) If a death of a youth in the Department's custody |
| 21 | | occurs while a prior youth death is under review by a team |
| 22 | | pursuant to this Act, the Director may request that the team |
| 23 | | review the subsequent death. |
| 24 | | (f) Upon the conclusion of all reporting required under |
| 25 | | Sections 20, 25, and 30 with respect to a death reviewed by a |
| 26 | | team, all appointments to the team shall expire.
