SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
520 ILCS 5/3.4b

Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that in addition to a current or retired law enforcement officer who is authorized by law, a person who is the holder of a valid concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act is exempt from the provisions of the Code that prohibit the possession of those firearms.

1 AN ACT concerning wildlife.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by changing Section
53.4b as follows:
6 (520 ILCS 5/3.4b)
7 Sec. 3.4b. Concealed firearm exemption. A current or
8retired law enforcement officer authorized by law to possess a
9concealed firearm, or a person who is the holder of a valid
10concealed carry license issued under the Firearm Concealed
11Carry Act, shall be exempt from the provisions of this Code
12prohibiting possession of those firearms. However, nothing in
13this Section authorizes the use of those firearms except as
14authorized by law.
