   Existing law regulates the operation of ports and harbors.
Existing law authorizes the organization and formation of port
districts.
   This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to increase and diversify economic development at the
Port of Los Angeles.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  SECTION 1.  It is the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation to increase and diversify economic development at the
Port of Los Angeles.
