AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1.
Allows
the Department of Public Safety to:
a)
allow
the delivery of virtual firing ranges, virtual training simulators and virtual
firing range software purchases authorized by session law before sufficient
monies are available from the Peace Officer Training Equipment Fund; and
b) pay for the equipment
when monies are available from the Peace Officer Training Equipment Fund
without paying interest on the outstanding balance, if agreed to by the vendor.

technical changes.

insert "A."
Page 3, between lines 7 and 8, insert:
"B. Notwithstanding section 35‑342, Arizona Revised
Statutes, the department of public safety may allow delivery of the virtual
firing ranges, the virtual training simulators and the software for which
monies are appropriated pursuant to subsection A, paragraph 2 of this section
before sufficient monies are available from the peace officer training
equipment fund and may pay for the equipment when monies are available from the
fund without paying interest on the outstanding balance if the equipment vendor
agrees to this arrangement."
