AN ACT
amending section 13-2804, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to interference with judicial and other proceedings.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 13-2804, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
13-2804. Tampering with a witness; classification
A. A person commits
tampering with a witness if such the person knowingly induces
or attempts to induce a
witness in any official proceeding or a person he believes may be called as a
witness to do any of the
following:
1. Unlawfully withhold
any testimony. ; or
2. Testify falsely. ; or
3. Absent himself from any official proceeding to which he has been legally summoned.
4. Evade a summons or subpoena.
B. Tampering with a witness is a class 6 felony.
