AMGOA Staff HB659 is scheduled for a hearing in the house Judiciary committee Tuesday May 25 at 10:00 a.m., in Room 140 of the state Capitol. HB659, authored by Representative Aaron Bernstine, removes the requirement for individuals to obtain a concealed handgun permit before being allowed to carry concealed for self-defense, otherwise known as 'constitutional carry'. Pennsylvania would become the 5th state to pass constitutional carry this year. If governor Wolf vetos the bill a vote on the bill in the House and Senate would put your reps and senators on notice. Should they vote against it all efforts will be made to remove them in the next election.
