HB33 would prohibit unlocked firearms in homes with children

New this week SB81 would make active, retired and honorably discharged members of the armed forces exempt from concealed carry license fees

New for Ohio:

HB142 would eliminate the duty to inform section of law

HB151 is a universal background check bill

HB153 would outlaw the sale and manufacture of imitation firearms

HB152 would require anyone applying for a hunting license to state whether they are a prohibited person and any license issued would state they are prohibited from hunting with a firearm

SB122 would prohibit those with carry licenses from carrying at capitol square

SB142 is a constitutional carry bill

HB201 would change concealed carry law so that a person could carry almost any firearm concealed

HB233 would prevent legal action for anyone caught in a prohibited place as lang as they have a carry permit. If the person is caught in the same place within 30 days there would then be consequences.

New this week:


HB310 would permit elected officials that have a carry license to carry in government facilities

HB305 would allow those filing protective orders to list any firearms the person being served has. It also would require the transfer of all firearms within 24 hours of being served a protective order if the court decides the offense if prohibiting.

SB180 would strengthen stand your grand laws, assign the burden of proof for self-defense cases to the prosecutor and modifies penalties for illegally carrying a concealed firearm or improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle

SB219 would outlaw bumpfire stocks and any other device that would 'accelerate the rate of fire of a semi-automatic firearm'

HB395 would outlaw bump fire stocks and any other device that would increase the rate of fire of a semi-auto weapon

SB260 is an assault weapon ban bill, it would also require the AG to create a firearm / ammunition database

HB564 would require a 72 hour waiting period to buy a firearm

HB563 would require gun dealers to wait up to 30 days for a response from NICS before transferring a firearm

SB278 would create extreme risk protection orders

SB279 would make it a crime to leave a firearm where some knows, or should know, a minor could get to it

SB284 would raise the age to buy a rifle to 21

SB283 is a universal background check bill

SB285 would require all firearm sales at gun shows go through an FFL

SB286 would require all firearms be registered with the sheriff's department
