This thread will be updated on a regular basis when new bills come in for Washington.

Note: We will only post legislation we feel is negative or positive, those new bills which don't actually effect your rights will not be included but you can always find them on the state legislation page.

Starting off (prefiled) HB1004 would remove current law that allows the governor to prohibit carrying firearms during a state of emergency

New today:

HB1100 would require law enforcement to notify anyone whose carry license is about to expire no later than 90 days prior to the expiration date

HB1122 would require all firearms be locked if there is reason to believe a prohibited person or child could access them. It would also require gun dealers to post signs stating the could face criminal charges if they do not keep them secured

HB1134 is an assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bill

SB5050 is an assault weapon and large capacity magazine ban bill

HB1174 would require schools to have an elective class for firearm and hunter safety

HB1181 would prevent state police from keeping copies of firearm sales or transfers

HB1190 would eliminate the ability of state officials to keep copies of applications to purchase pistols

HB1270 would make all firearm safety devices tax exempt

New this week:

SB5216 would require elective classes in hunter and firearm safety be offered in high schools

HB1380 would repeal all laws regarding background checks for firearm sales

HB1381 would set up carry permit reciprocity with all 49 other states

HB1387 is basically an assault weapon and high capacity magazine ban along with a special license required to own them

New last week:

SB5441 would prohibit anyone who has been detained for a 72 hour mental evaluation from owning a firearm for 6 months after the detention

SB5444 would prohibit the ownership of 'assault weapons' and high capacity magazines unless you get an enhanced 'assault weapon license'

SB5463 would basically require all firearms to be locked up when not in your possession

SB5506 would make transferring a firearm while conducting nonprofit fund-raising activities exempt from background checks

HB1725 would add an exemption for background checks if the buyer has a concealed carry license

HB1933 would allow for the transfer of firearms without a background check at non-profit fund raising activities

HB2042 would allow the governor to regulate firearm possession after declaring a state of emergency

SB5795 would require anyone wishing to buy a firearm to have a liability insurance policy

HB2174 would reduce the time that a dealer must wait to deliver as firearm if a background check is not completed

SB5992 would outlaw bump fire stocks and other 'trigger modification devices'

SB6006 would allow the governor to ban carrying firearms by anyone but law enforcement when declaring a state of emergency

HB2293 would ban carrying firearms into any child care center or early learning center SB6049 is a high capacity magazine ban bill

HB2329 would strengthen privacy laws about information regarding license to carry applications, investigations and denials

SB6146 would repeal state preemption of firearm laws

HB2422 is a high capacity magazine ban bill (over 10 rounds)

SB6298 would make a misdemeanor harassment conviction a prohibiting offense in regards to firearms

HB2666 would repeal state preemption laws

HB2738 would make it a crime to enter another person's home (or dwelling) carrying a concealed firearm without first getting their permission

HB2805 would prohibit anyone under 21 from buying or receiving lead ammunition

SB6415 would prohibit anyone to enter another person's residence while carrying a firearm unless they have asked for permission

SB6476 would allow private sales between to people that both have concealed carry licenses without a background check

SB6620 is an absolutely ridiculous attempt at stopping certain semi-auto rifles and shoguns from being bought if they have certain 'tactical' features

HB3007 would allow trained teachers to carry firearms on school property

HB3008 would allow certain school teachers and employees to carry
